Asplundh Tree Expert Company Contract (B)
Explanation
Funding for a contract tree crew for the Recreation and Parks Department was approved as part of the final budget package for FY 2002. On November 13, 2001, the City Commission approved a contract between GRU and Asplundh Tree Expert Company for electric distribution line clearance, tree trimming, rights-of-way maintenance, weed control and related work. The department wishes to contract with Asplundh under this existing agreement for its own tree trimming and rights-of-way maintenance needs.
Fiscal Note
Funds in the amount of $37,000 are budgeted in the FY 2002 Parks Division Contractual Services account.
Recommendation
The City Commission: 1) authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute a contract with Asplundh Tree Expert Company, for services required by the Recreation and Parks Department for fiscal year 2002; and 2) approve the issuance of a Purchase Order to Asplundh Tree Expert Company in an amount not to exceed $37,000.
