Second Extension for Professional Civil Engineering Services for FY 2003 (B)
Explanation
The contract for professional civil engineering services dated November 27, 2000, First Amendments dated March 7, 2001 and First Extensions dated July 9, 2001 with Brown & Cullen, Inc. and Causseaux & Ellington, Inc. will expire on September 30, 2002. These firms have responded to the City's requests for services promptly and their services have been reliable and accurate. The Public Works Department recommends extending these contracts for FY 2003.
The Contracts for Fiscal Year 2001 allowed for five extensions. This is the second request for an extension of each contract.
Fiscal Note
Funding sources will be identified, as needed, from the City capital project budgets.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the Second Extensions to the contracts with Brown & Cullen, Inc. and Causseaux & Ellington, Inc. for Professional Civil Engineering Services, extending the term of the contracts from October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2003, subject to final appropriation of funds for FY 2003.
