Title Release of Easement to Florida Rock Industries, Inc. (NB) Explanation November 24, 1997 Florida Rock Industries, Inc. granted a public utilties easement to the City for the installation, operation and maintenance of electric facilities to serve a new communications tower located at 924 South Main Street. Following the granting of the easement a boundary survey of the property revealed several encroachments in the easement area. Subsequently, a new easement description excluding all encroachments was provided by Florida Rock and a replacement easement granted to clear any clouds on the title of the property. Florida Rock Industries has now requested that the City release their interests in that previous easement granted November 24, 1997. Staff has reviewed this request and has no objection to the release of easement. Recommendations The City Commission: 1) approve the release of a public utilities easement to Florida Rock Industries, Inc.; and 2) authorize the Mayor and Clerk of the Commission to execute the Release of Easement, subject to approval as to form and legality by the City Attorney.
