Information was collected in a job audit questionnaire and in a job audit interview of an Associate Corporate Communications Specialist in the Marketing & Communications Department of GRU. This is a non-entry administrative/professional job promoting the utility. Primary responsibilities of the job involve employee communications, media relations, community outreach and the planning/coordination of special events designed to better serve the community and, thereby, enhance GRU's market position. The level of responsibilities is comparable to another Marketing & Communications Specialist, Senior in the department and each position provides backup to the other as needed.
Personnel & Organizational Structure Committee recommends the reclassification of the Associate Corporate Communications Specialist, MAP pay grade EXD ($34,498 - $47,435) to Marketing & Communications Specialist, Senior, MAP pay grade EXG ($42,857 - $58,928), effective October 1, 2003.
Fiscal Note
Approval of the recommendation will result in an annualized impact of $3,300. Funds are available in the GRU FY 2003/2004 budget.
Recommendation
The City Commission approve reclassification of the Associate Corporate Communications Specialist to Marketing & Communications Specialist, Senior with a pay grade EXG.
