Public Private Partnership Between City of Gainesville Regional Transit (RTS) System and Greyhound Lines, Inc. (NB)
Explanation
On June 11, 2001, the Gainesville City Commission referred the proposed RTS/Greyhound project for the reuse of the former Gainesville Regional Utilities' engineering building to the East Gainesville Sprout Project Task Force. On July 18, 2001, the Task Force discussed this item, covering the proposed 5 year lease agreement, impacts to the neighborhood, and whether the proposal is an appropriate fit with the recommendations developed by urban planners Dover-Kohl and Associates. RTS Director Jeff Logan, Greyhound staff, and Depot neighborhood resident Bob Bauge addressed the Task Force. At the conclusion of the discussion, the Task Force took no action regarding the RTS/Greyhound proposal.
