Title

Proposed FY2007 Youth Summer Camp Registration Fee (NB)

This item is to update the Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Public Works Committee on the adopted youth summer camp rates.

Explanation

City staff gave an update on the proposed FY2007 youth summer camp rates to the Recreation, Cultural Affairs, and Public Works Committee on January 16, 2007.  This information was presented to the City Commission on February 12, 2007.  The City Commission approved an increase in the youth summer camp registration fee for FY2007 in the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs Department to $31.00 per participant, per week, for city-residents and to $41.00 per week, per participant for city-residents for FY2008.  The funds for the difference in costs versus revenues were approved to be taken from the City Contingency fund.

Recommendation   

Recommended Motion:  The Recreation, Cultural Affairs, and Public Works Committee: 1) hear a presentation regarding the current youth summer camp rates; and 2) request removal of this referral from the Active Referral list.
