Resolution for a Joint Participation Agreement for Commuter Assistance Program Funding (B)
Explanation
The City of Gainesville Regional Transit System (RTS) has requested a Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). This Agreement will provide a total of $140,000 for the project, which will be funded on a 50/50 matching basis between the FDOT and RTS. This JPA will support the continuation of the Commuter Assistance Program for Alachua County and surrounding counties to include development, implementation, operational and/or capital costs.
Fiscal Note
FDOT has sent a JPA to RTS ($140,000) on a 50/50 matching basis for Commuter Assistance Program. The local match for this JPA is available in the RTS FY 2003 operating budget.
Recommendation
The City Commission approve the Resolution authorizing execution of a Joint Participation Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation.
