Title Ratification of Contract for the Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Inc. effective October 1, 1998 through September 30, 2001. Explanation This Agreement has been reached through negotiations between Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Inc. and the City of Gainesville, and was ratified by the Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Inc. bargaining unit on October 8, 1998. This Agreement covers the period from October 1, 1998 through September 30, 2001. Fiscal Note Funds are currently budgeted for the Fiscal Year 1998-1999. Funds will be allocated in FY 2000 & FY 2001 to fund the Agreement. Recommendations The City Commission: 1) ratify the Contract for Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Inc. covering the period October 1, 1998 through September 30, 2001 between the City of Gainesville and Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Inc. a copy of which is on file with the Clerk of the Commission. After October 26, 1998 the Contract will be on file in the Human Resources Department; 2) authorize the City Manager to implement the Agreement on behalf of the City, subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
