City Pool Programs (NB)
This item is to update the Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Public Works Committee on the City pool programs.
Explanation
The City Commission heard a report from Mike Davidson on June 12, 2006 regarding several ideas he felt would make the aquatics facilities more successful. The Commissioned was informed by City staff that money was allocated in the current capital improvement budget to make some of the needed repairs to the facilities. Staff and Mr. Davidson agreed to work together to form a Pool Visioning Team. The Commission requested that an update be brought back at a later date. City staff provided a report to the Recreation, Cultural Affairs, and Public Works Committee on January 16, 2007 and will be returning for another update at the March, 2008 meeting.

Recommendation
Recommended Motion: The Recreation, Cultural Affairs, and Public Works Committee: 1) hear a presentation regarding the current City pool programs; 2) request removal of this referral from the Active Referral List.
