A resolution of the City Commission of the City of Gainesville, Florida, amending and establishing the maximum trespass towing fees in accordance with section 14.5-27 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Gainesville, Florida; and providing an immediate effective date.

explanation
The City Commission received a request to increase the maximum towing fees. The City Manager's Towing Advisory Board has recommended an increase in the fee and a restriction on additional fees and charges during the first 24 hours after the tow. The Public Safety Committee met on December 4, 2003 to consider the request.
The Code of Ordinances of the City of Gainesville provides that maximum trespass towing fees shall be established annually by the City Commission after receiving a request for fee modification by the towing companies.
