Explanation
The three City of Gainesville Swimming Pool Locker Rooms located at Citizen Field, Westside Park, and T. B. McPherson Park, are undergoing ADA renovations. Each men's and women's locker room is having one ADA approved toilet, sink and shower stall installed. Purchasing solicited bids from 746 vendors. Seven (7) contractors signed in at the pre-bid conference held on October 26, 2001. Two construction firms bid on the project. Anglin Cavallino Construction Company submitted the lowest responsive bid at $88,970.
Fiscal Note
Funds are available in the Facilities Management Operating Budget ADA Account.
Recommendation
The City Commission approve the issuance of a Purchase Order to Anglin Cavallino Construction Company for $88,970 and approve a 15 percent contingency amount ($13,345) for any change orders.
