Information was collected in a job audit questionnaire and in a job audit interview of a Management Analyst responsible for managing the investment of the City's pension and operating funds. Responsibilities include screening and negotiating new contracts with investment managers, monitoring performance, and taking the steps necessary to ensure compliance of investment managers with the City's risk and performance parameters. Current assets, in a variety of pension funds, total over $376,000,000 and operating funds over $80,000,000. The position requires understanding and daily monitoring of constantly changing investment markets in order to maximize performance of a variety of City pension and operating funds.

Recommendation
Personnel & Organizational Structure Committee recommended that the City Commission approve the reclassification of the Management Analyst, MAP pay grade EXF ($39,867-$54,817) to Treasury and Investment Coordinator, MAP pay grade EXJ ($53,241-$73,207) effective January 5, 2004.
