Explanation

This is to request a $150,000 be added to the Gainesville Police Department's purchase order for Lewis Oil Company for the purchase of fuel.  Currently we have $525,727 on the purchase order and have spent approximately $452,000 as of June 1, 2010 which leaves us with $73,727 for four months.  This amount is not enough to cover GPD's fuel expenses until September 30, 2010.

Fiscal Note

Funds in the amount of $150,000 for this expenditure are available in the Gainesville Police Department's general funds overall budget.

Recommendation

The City Commission approve the increase of $150,000 for the purchase order to Lewis Oil Company.
