Title Ratification of Contract changes to the North Central Florida Police Benevolent Association, Inc., Labor Agreement effective October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1999. Explanation This Agreement has been reached through negotiations between North Central Florida Police Benevolent Association, Inc. and the City of Gainesville, and was ratified by the North Central Florida Police Benevolent Association, Inc. bargaining unit on July 1, 1999. This Agreement becomes part of the current collective bargaining agreement. Fiscal Note Funding has been anticipated in the FY 2000 budget to pay for these change to the current Agreement. Recommendation The City Commission: 1) ratify the Contract change for North Central Florida Police Benevolent Association, Inc. covering the period October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1999 between the City of Gainesville and North Central Florida Police Benevolent Association, Inc. a copy of which is on file in the Human Resources Department; 2) authorize the City Manager to implement the Agreement on behalf of the City, subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
