Public Hearing for Eastside District Redevelopment Plan (B)
Explanation
At the September 17, 2001 CRA meeting the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) transmitted the Eastside District Redevelopment Plan to the Plan Board for its comments. The CRA received and accepted the Plan Board comments at a special meeting held on September 24, 2001. At the same meeting the CRA adopted the plan and voted to forward it to the City Commission for public hearings.
On September 24, 2001 the City Commission received the Eastside District Redevelopment Plan from the CRA and set a public hearing date for October 22, 2001. In anticipation of the public hearing, the City ran an ad in the Gainesville Sun on October 9, 2001 and all of the taxing authorities were notified by registered mail on October 5, 2001.

The City Commission: 1) hear a presentation from staff; 2) receive public comments; and 3) adopt the proposed resolution.
