Approval of Ten-Year Lease With Florida Wild Life Care (B)
Explanation
At the April 15, 2003 Recreation and Cultural Affairs Committee, Leslie Straub, Director of Florida Wildlife Care, Inc. gave an update on the status of the Phase I building project for the new Florida Wildlife Care facility. This facility will be located at Boulware Springs Park.
During the presentation staff requested the approval of a ten-year lease on the property at Boulware Springs to enable Florida Wildlife Care to proceed with construction of the Phase I development.
The Committee then recommended approval by the full Commission of the ten-year lease with Florida Wildlife Care for property located at the Boulware Springs facility.
Fiscal Note
The City will receive the sum of $1.00 from Florida Wildlife Care for the lease of property at Boulware Springs.
Recommendations
The City Commission approve the lease of the Boulware Springs property to Florida Wildlife Care, Inc., subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
