Title City of Gainesville, Gainesville Regional Utilities, State Legislative Priorities (B) Explanation Your utilities staff have developed a number of legislative priorities as we approach the 1999 Legislature. Substantially all of the suggested priorities were approved by the Commission prior to the 1998 Legislature and remain potential issues for the upcoming 1999 session. Recommendations The City Commission 1) hear a staff presentation on the suggested legislative items; and 2) authorize the Mayor, Members of the Commission and, General Manager and his designees, to take such action as may be appropriate in furtherance of the approved priorities.
