explanation

At its meeting of July 28, 2008, the City Commission authorized the City Attorney to draft and the Clerk of the Commission to advertise an ordinance amending the registered domestic partnership ordinance to preclude registered domestic partners from being related to one another by blood.  This ordinance requires two hearings.  Should the City Commission pass this ordinance on first reading, second and final reading will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008.
