Explanation
Funding for the replacement of playground equipment at the TB McPherson Center was secured in FY 2000 through a Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) Grant. The Recreation and Parks Department, while researching current State Contract pricing, found an existing agreement between Palm Beach County and Bliss Products and Service, Inc. This pricing agreement will allow the Department to contract with Bliss Products and Services, Inc. for the replacement of the TB McPherson play structure at a cost of $27,005.80. Utilizing this contract will allow the City to save $5,000 on the playground equipment.
Fiscal Note
Funds are available through the existing FRDAP grant for this purpose.
Recommendation
The City Commission approve the issuance of a purchase order to Bliss Products and Service, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $27,005.80.
