Explanation
In December 2012, the Community Development Committee heard a presentation from Chen Moore and Associates. The committee discussed many topics including improving the quality of local schools, streetscaping, and infrastructure to help improve communities. After receiving input from staff and citizens, the Committee directed staff to come back with more information on the following issues:
GRU staff:
1) Determine whether or not lift station 7 can be moved to a sooner year on the CIP and present a report
2) Explore options for a new sewer shed or expand the existing lift station 7 shed into the unincorporated area
City Planning staff:
3) Determine options on how to resolve the identified problems with properties zoned as MU1 on Hawthorne road due to sub-standard size, adjacency issues, or other restrictions
Recommendation
The Community Development Committee: 1) receive an update from staff; and 2) provide feedback and direction to staff as appropriate.
