The City Commission at its meeting of October 13, 2003, authorized the City Attorney to draft and the Clerk of the Commission to advertise an ordinance adopting an additional homestead exemption for low income seniors, as provided by Section 196.075, Florida Statutes, in the amount of $20,000, to be effective January 1, 2004, increasing to $25,000 on January 1, 2005.
