explanation
On November 10, 2003 the City Commission authorized the City Attorney to draft and the Clerk of the Commission to advertise an ordinance increasing fees for residential solid waste services, with the new amounts to be effective on January 1, 2004. As a result, the relevant portion of Appendix A to the Code of Ordinances (Schedule of Fees, Rates and Charges; Utilities, Solid Waste and Recyclables) is revised to reflect the following rate increases:
Curbside service, per month:
18 gallon cart - $13.21
35 gallon cart - $17.18
64 gallon cart - $21.14
96 gallon cart - $26.42
Backyard service, per month:
18 gallon - $22.19
35 gallon - $25.84
64 gallon - $31.42
96 gallon - $38.50
This ordinance requires two readings. Should this ordinance pass on first reading, the second and final reading will occur on December 15, 2003.
