Annual Services Contract for In-Place Density and Material Testing
Explanation
On November 9, 1998, the Purchasing Division mailed Invitations to Bid for Annual Contract for In-place Density and Material Testing to eight vendors. Only two vendors responded: Advanced Geotechnical Consultants, Inc. and Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc. The Public Works Department is requesting that a contract be awarded to both companies. Request for service will be based upon low line item or low cost grouping of tests estimated per project.
Fiscal Note
Funding sources will be identified as needed in the City capital project budgets.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute a contract to Advanced Geotechnical Consultants, Inc. and to Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc., subject to approval by the City Attorney as to form and legality.
