On April 2, 2007, the City Purchasing Division solicited bids for the SW 5th Avenue, 1200 block, Triangle Streetscape Project construction. Three (3) firms responded with bids. Anglin Construction Company was the lowest responsible and responsive bidder in the amount of $169,500.00
Fiscal Note
The funding in the amount of $169,500.00 is available through the approved Community Redevelopment Agency Capital Improvement Plan and budget, account number 618-790-W727-5520.
Recommendation
Recommended Motion: The City Commission: 1) authorize the bid award to Anglin Construction Company for the SW 5th Avenue, 1200 block, Triangle Streetscape Project construction; and 2) authorize the City Manager to execute the contract and issue a purchase order in an amount not to exceed $169,500.00
Alternative Recommendation A: The City Commission deny the request for the bid award to Anglin Construction Company and direct the City Manager to withdraw the SW 5th Avenue, 1200 block, Triangle Streetscape Project.
Alternative Recommendation B: The City Commission deny the request for the bid award to Anglin Construction Company and direct the City Manager to rebid the SW 5th Avenue, 1200 block, Triangle Streetscape Project construction. This would result in project delays and additional administrative costs.
