Title Interlocal Agreement with Alachua County for Financial Assistance for the Regional Transit System (RTS) for FY 1999 Explanation Each year the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners provides financial support for the Regional Transit System (RTS). This Agreement will provide financial support for Fiscal Year 1999. In addition to the base level of funding of $247,180.00, Alachua County will also provide $83,000.00 to enhance services on Archer Road and Tower Road. The additional County funds will be used to match a Florida Department of Transportation Service Development Grant. Fiscal Note The $247,180.00 in County base funding has been incorporated in RTS's FY 1999 budget. The additional $83,000.00 will be added as part of the next amendatory budget ordinance. Recommendation The City Commission: 1) approve the Interlocal Agreement with Alachua County for financial assistance for RTS for FY 1999; and, 2) authorize the City Manager to execute the Agreement subject to approval by the City Attorney as to form and legality.
