Title
U.S. Dept. of Justice, "Justice Assistance Grant" FY 2005 Local Solicitation (B)
Explanation
The City of Gainesville recently received notification from the U.S. Department of Justice, that it was eligible to receive $ 88,076 in grant funding under the "Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG)". The Gainesville Police Department proposes to utilize the funds received under this grant to continue the production of the GPD television show "Police Beat", acquire additional in-car video cameras for patrol vehicles, to place automated external defibrillators (AED) at Department facilities, and to purchase other technical equipment for enhancements either to the Laptop project or the Data Trac process.
