Explanation
On October 28, 2002, the City Commission approved the Cable Consulting Contract with Rice Williams & Associates in the amount of $35,000. Because franchise negotiations have been protracted, it appears that the final total cost may approach $42,500.

Funds are available in the Finance Department budget to cover the increased costs of this service.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to the Cable Consulting Contract with Rice Williams & Associates and authorize a $7,500 modification to the purchase order.
