Title State Law Enforcement Contraband Forfeiture Trust Fund (LECFTF) Funding for Hippodrome Generation-eXcel Improvisational Teen Theatre Explanation During 1998, in addition to the continuation of HITT's celebrated theatrical workshop techniques, the Hippodrome implemented an innovative initiative, Generation-eXcel. The Generation-eXcel model integrates direct prevention and intervention strategies and service learning with video and computer technologies. The process includes the creation of Florida's first on-line, curriculum-based, interactive alcohol and substance abuse resource center for teens. During 1998-1999, the Hippodrome anticipates outreach to over 10,000 teens in Alachua County. Fiscal Note Funds for this $2,500 expenditure are available in the State Law Enforcement Contraband Forfeiture Trust Fund, as allowed under FSS 932.7055(4)(a). The balance of the State Law Enforcement Contraband Forfeiture Trust Fund is $82,315. Recommendation The City Commission approve the appropriation and expenditure of an amount not to exceed $2,500 from the State Law Enforcement Contraband Forfeiture Trust Fund for the funding of the Hippodrome Generation-eXcel Improvisational Teen Theatre.
