Title Revision of Personnel Policy 8 (Sick Leave); Personnel Policy 9 (Annual Leave); Personnel Policy 24 (Longevity Pay). Explanation In order to accommodate recently approved changes to the Police and Fire Consolidated Pension Plan, the Personnel Policies named above have been updated. The revised language provides direction relating primarily to accrued sick leave, accrued annual leave, and longevity pay of qualified employees who choose to enter the DROP (Deferred Retirement Option Plan). Fiscal Note Funding has been anticipated in the FY 2000 budget to pay for the changes. Recommendation The Personnel & Organizational Structure Committee recommends the City Commission approve revised Policy 8, 9, and 24.
