Amendment to the General Government and Gainesville Regional Utilities Budget Hearing Schedule (NB)
This item involves a request for the City Commission to amend the current schedule for the General Government and Gainesville Regional Utilities FY11 budget hearings.
Explanation
Due to scheduling concerns, staff is requesting that the City Commission amend the current schedule of FY11 budget hearings as follows:
--The July 13, 2010 Gainesville Regional Utilities meeting currently scheduled for 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. be moved to 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on the same day, July 13th;
--The July 29, 2010 General Government meeting currently scheduled for 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. be moved to 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on the same day, July 29th;
--Other revisions may be made by the City Commission to accommodate commissioners schedules and to ensure public participation.
Fiscal Note
There is no fiscal impact to the recommended scheduling change.
Recommendation
The City Commission: 1) review the budget schedule and determine if adjustments are necessary to ensure full participation of the members of the City Commission, 2) adopt the amended budget schedule starting the budget review process on July 13th and July 29th at 1:00 p.m. and ending at or before 9:00 p.m., and 3) make other revisions to the schedule as deemed necessary by the City Commission.
