Explanation

A key component of the approach utilized by the Equal Opportunity Office to make progress in equal opportunity is proactive prevention.  Providing information, training, outreach activities, and other potential solutions to citizens, businesses, community organizations and City employees can help identify and solve problems before they escalate.  Staff provided a presentation on proactive prevention activities to the Equal Opportunity Committee on March 24, 2005.

Recommendation

City Commission hear a presentation on the proactive prevention activities of the Equal Opportunity Office since January 1, 2004.
