Historic Train Depot Building Acquisition
Explanation
On April 27, 1998 the City Commission directed staff to negotiate an option to purchase or rental agreement of the historic train depot. Staff has successfully negotiated a purchase agreement in the amount of $70,000, which is within the appraised value.
Fiscal Note
Funds are available from the $255,000 General Fund Reserve for the Historic Resource grant match approved in the FY99/00 Budget.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager to purchase the Historic Train Depot Building at the negotiated purchase price of $70,000, subject to approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
