Reimbursement for Reclaimed Water Facilities at Oakmont Phase 1 Planned Development (NB)
This is a request to reimburse the developer of Oakmont Phase 1 Planned Development for reclaimed water facility construction in accordance with the GRU Water Reuse Program adopted by the City Commission on September 24, 2001.
Explanation
Oakmont is a mixed use planned development located in the 2400 block of Parker Road (SW 122nd Street). A reclaimed water distribution system must be constructed to provide reclaimed water service for the project. The developer's cost to construct the reclaimed water system, for which reimbursement is being sought, is $825,403.00.
The recommended amount of $825,403.00 includes all design, construction, labor, and materials associated with reclaimed water system construction to satisfactorily complete the work.
Recommendations
The City Commission authorize the General Manager or his designee to negotiate and execute an agreement for reimbursement to Oakmont at Gainesville, LLP for construction of reclaimed water facilities in an amount not to exceed $825,403.00 subject to approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
Fiscal Note
Monies for this project are available in the FY 2010 Water and Wastewater Capital Improvements Budget.
