Explanation
Six consultants submitted proposals to the City of Gainesville Regional Transit System on April 13, 2001, for the COA. The proposals were reviewed by the selection committee the week of April 16, 2001. Two companies were selected to make presentations on April 23 and 24, 2001. The Selection Committee chose the Perteet Engineering, Inc. as the most qualified firm to conduct the Regional Transit System's COA. The selected firm was presented to the RTS Community Advisory Board and approved on April 25, 2001.

Recommendation
The City Commission: 1) approve the ranking of firms as presented; 2) authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to negotiate a contract for conducting a Comprehensive Operational Analysis for RTS; and 3) authorize the City Manager, or his designee, upon successful contract negotiations, to execute the contract.
