Explanation
The Gainesville Police Department and the City of Gainesville recently received notification from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) that the Reichert House Program received an in-kind award to provide strategic planning for grant program development. The in-kind services valued at $5,000 will be provided by the Grants Office, LLC in Rochester, New York.
Fiscal Note
The $5,000 in-kind services will provide support for the development of a strategic grant development plan for the Reichert House that will include:
1. A report of federal and/or state grant programs that could support funding needs
2. One-year grantseeking plan
3. One completed proposal for funding
4. One-year subscription to Upstream Online Knowledge Base
Any services rendered beyond the $5,000 award from the Grants Office, LLC will require City Commission approval before those services can be provided.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager and the Gainesville Police Department to execute the contract with the Grants Office, LLC for these in-kind services to benefit the Reichert House Program.
