Title Partial Release of a Public Utilities Easement at 4905 NW 67 Street in Thornehill (NB) Explanation On April 28, 1993, Thornehill, Inc., granted the City a perpetual easement for the purpose of constructing, operating, and maintaining public utilities to serve Thornehill subdivision. This public utility easement, as recorded in Official Record Book 1904, page 1175 of the public records, covers several electric transformers located throughout the subdivision as well as an underground LP gas tank located at 4905 NW 67 Street. Thornehill subdivision was recently converted to an underground natural gas system. Staff has confirmed that the underground LP gas tank was no longer necessary and was removed. Therefore, the portion of the easement document that covers the underground gas tank is no longer necessary and can be released to clear the owner's title of any unnecessary encumbrances. Recommendations The City Commission: 1) approve the partial release of a public utilities easement; and 2) authorize the Mayor and Clerk of the Commission to execute the Partial Release of Easement, substantially in the form on file, subject to approval by the City Attorney.
