The City Manager has requested that the City Attorney draft and the Clerk of the Commission advertise an amendment to the Disability Pension Plan. The purpose of this amendment is to provide, consistent with federal legislation and case law, for disability retirements for individuals who are eligible for age-based retirements, but are also eligible for and wish to apply for disability retirements.
