The City Commission adopt the proposed ordinance.

explanation

At its meeting of January 28, 2008, the City Commission authorized the City Attorney to draft and the Clerk of the Commission to advertise the proposed ordinance repealing section 2-142 of the Code of Ordinances.  These provisions relating to terms of four Charter Officers are obsolete and have been superseded by equivalent Charter provisions.

Should the Commission adopt this ordinance on first reading, second and final reading of the ordinance will be February 25, 2008.
