This is a request for the City Commission to approve the By-laws for the Tree Advisory Board and the By-laws for the Tree Board of Appeals.
Explanation
The Tree Advisory Board and Tree Board of Appeals were created by Ordinances in January 1990 and April 1989 respectively. The Tree Advisory Board serves in a technical advisory capacity in matters involving tree regulations and ordinances, City Commission tree-related referrals, creation of a Master Tree Plan, and goals and objectives for the City's Comprehensive Plan with respect to trees.
The Tree Board of Appeals hears appeals regarding dangerous or dead trees designated for removal. By-laws were developed and adopted by the Tree Advisory Board and Tree Board of Appeals on June 9, 2014.
