Temporary Construction Easement to FDOT (NB)
Explanation
The City acquired a parcel of land in 1994 along the eastern side of SR 121 in conjunction with the Deerhaven alternative rail project. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is planning the replacement of a low level bridge across the Santa Fe River which abuts the City's property at the northern most edge. It is also the FDOT's intent to raise a portion of SR 121 which runs along the City's property in conjunction with this project. Therefore, they are requesting that the City grant a Temporary Construction Easement to allow for the re-construction of our existing access road to this property.
Staff has reviewed this request and has no objection to the granting of the Temporary Construction Easement.
Recommendations
The City Commission:1) approve the granting of a Temporary Construction Easement to the Florida Department of Transportation; and 2) authorize the Mayor and Clerk of the Commission to execute the Temporary Construction Easement, subject to approval as to form and legality by the City Attorney.
