A resolution of the Gainesville City Commission providing a solution to the chapter 164 dispute over public safety radio system for fiscal year 2021; providing an effective date.

The City Commission adopt the proposed resolution.

 

explanation

On January 13th, 2021 the Board of County Commissioners initiated the dispute resolution process set forth in Chapter 164, Florida Statutes because of concerns they had regarding correspondence received from GRUCOM over the state of payment for services and the amount being charged for services.  Pursuant to the procedure set forth in Chapter 164, Florida Statutes the Executive Officers of the City, GRU and the County met on February 1st and 15th, 2021 and came to agreement on terms regarding the issues raised in the dispute resolution process.  The Resolution describes the understanding between the City and the County regarding the dispute.
