Explanation
On January 15, 2008, the City Purchasing Division solicited written statements of qualifications to provide engineering services for the NE Safetea-LU Roadways Project (RFQ No. PWDA080041-DH).  Nine (9) engineering firms submitted statements on February 12, 2008.  Evaluation of the written submittals resulted in the invitation of three (3) firms to present orally to the evaluators.  These presentations held March 11, 2008, further established the qualifications, project approach and methodology for the project.

The evaluators rank the firms as follows:

1.      Jones Edmunds
2.      Comprehensive Engineering Services, Inc.
3.      HDR Engineering, Inc.

Fiscal Note
Funding is available through the Safetea-LU grant that provides $2,100,000 for the project.  The required Local Agency Program Agreement between the City of Gainesville and the Florida Department of Transportation has been previously executed.
