Explanation

The City Commission approved funds totaling $180,000 to renovate the exterior of the Hippodrome State Theatre.  Part of the renovation includes replacing the 24 windows on the Third Floor.

Combs Lumber and Supply gave us the lowest quote totaling $30,550 for the purchase of 24 Kolbe & Kolbe wood, Magnum, insulated glass windows.  The other quote received was from Window Classics Corp. out of Green Cove Springs in the amount of $34,400.64 for comparable windows.  The installation of the windows will be bid out with other renovations.

Funds are available for this project from the Lease in/Lease out account.

Recommendation

The City Commission authorize the issuance of a purchase order to Combs Lumber and Supply in an amount of $30,550 for the purchase of 24 windows for the Hippodrome State Theatre.
