Explanation

The purpose of this agenda item is to update the status of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Job Corps program, site, appropriations, and to discuss alternative projects and sites.

The City Commission consider the context and history of Job Corps and provide direction whether an alternative project and/or site is in the best interest for the community in order to address the City’s job training needs that has been absent since the Job Corps site had cease operations due to Hurricane Irma.
