Purchase of Video Editing Equipment for the Gainesville Police Department (B)
Explanation
On May 8, 2000 the City Commission authorized the Gainesville Police Department to expend $180,000 from Federal Law Enforcement Contraband Forfeiture Trust Funds for the purchase of technology related projects. This purchase, as part of the technology projects, is for a Media 100 XR System to be used to create and produce quality videos for training, recruitment and police-community programs.
Fiscal Note
Funding for this purchase, not to exceed $35,000 is available in the Federal Law Enforcement Contraband Trust Fund ( account #109-810-F113).
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute the Purchase Order to Media Products, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $35,000 for the purchase of video editing equipment.
