The City Commission, at its meeting of April 17, 2014, heard public comment concerning the environmental, social and economic devastation resulting from mountain top removal of coal and directed the City Attorney to draft a resolution stating that the City opposes extraction of natural resources by use of any technique associated with mountain top removal.

The City Commission adopt the proposed resolution.
