This item is to provide an update to the Recreation, Cultural Affairs & Public Works Committee regarding the opportunity to provide business connections to the 6^th Street Rail Trail.

Explanation

The Public Works Department is working with the business owner located at 1511 NW 2nd Street to provide trail connectivity.  Businesses that desire to connect to the trail in the future will be required to obtain a permit from the State of Florida Office of Greenway and Trails.

Fiscal Note

There is no fiscal impact to the City of Gainesville at this time.

Recommendation

The Recreation, Cultural Affairs & Public Works Committee discuss the opportunity for business connectivity to the 6^th Street Rail Trail.
