Explanation
The Special Investigations Unit and the Florida Highway Patrol worked in conjunction on an investigation and the federal forfeiture share for the case was given to the Gainesville Police Department. The amount of forfeiture was $70,518.95. The Florida Highway has requested $22,292.00 in equipment as their share of the forfeiture.

Funds for this expenditure in the amount of $22,292 are available in the Federal Law Enforcement Contraband Forfeiture Trust Fund and is allowable per Federal 21 USC 881 found in the US Department of Justice "A Guide to Equitable Sharing of Federally Forfeited Property for State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies." The balance is $1,708,614.58.
