The City Commission adopt the proposed ordinance.

explanation

At its meeting on July 21, 2011, the City Commission authorized the City Attorney to draft and the Clerk of the Commission to advertise an ordinance allowing the assessment for solid waste management, with the addition of Solid Waste Facilities Cost, to continue through September 30, 2012, inside the city limits for an additional year.

This ordinance requires two readings.  If approved on first reading, the second and final reading will be August 18, 2011.
