Explanation
The Gainesville Police Department requested that a bid process be completed for uniforms. The Bid number GPDX-130016-FB was reviewed and assessed resulting in the identification of DGG Taser and Tactical Supply and Azar's Uniforms as the entities being awarded the contract. The contract will be for a total of four years with an optional one year extension. A blanket purchase order for the fiscal year will be completed to the respective vendors for those items awarded.
Fiscal Note
Funds are available in an amount not to exceed $85,000 annually for this agreement from the GPD's operating budget.
Recommendation
The City Commission: 1) approve the bid award to Azar's Uniform and DGG TAser and Tactical Supply; and 2) authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the contracts and any other necessary paperwork subject to approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
